Coordinates Export to USB from Leica Total station

In this article, I have explained the data transfer process
from a Leica TS-03 Total Station to a USB.
Connect your USB to the total station hub at the side cover
you will get the USB hub as you can watch in the video
Steps to Transfer Data:
1. When you open your Leica TS03 Total Station, you will see
two pages: one is the Start Menu and the other is Manage.
2. Click the Page button to shift to the Manage page. There
you will see the following options:
- Job
- Fixed Point
- Measure Data
- Data Transfer
- Delete Data
3. Select Data Transfer for selection you need to press your
cursor from your keypad and press OK from your keypad You will get another page
with two options:
- Export Data
- Import Data
4. Export Data: To transfer data from the Total Station to
USB, select Export Data.
Import Data: To
transfer from USB to your Total Station, select Import Data.
5. After selecting Export to transfer to USB from your Total
Station, you will get another interface where the Total Station will ask for
your destination:
To – out source
like USB etc.
Data Type – observations, fixed, or observe & measure
- Required Quantity
Job one or all
- Name of Job
6. For this video, I selected the following:
USB Stick -
You
can also select Memory Card or Total Station Memory.
Measurements -
You can also select Fixed Points, Measure & Fixed Points.
Single Job -
You
can also select All Jobs.
Eywa-2 -
You can
select any job name you have in your Total Station.
7. Press F4 to continue, and you will be redirected to USB.
If you don’t see your USB folders, just click OK from your keypad. The machine
will show you your USB folders. Then, keep your cursor on the folder in which
you want to save the data and continue by pressing F1 to proceed transfer in
that folder
OR
8. If you want to create a separate folder for your data in
the USB stick, click F2 to create a new folder in USB and give it a name. In
this video, I named it EYWA and clicked F4 to continue.
9. The Total Station will ask for confirmation. Press F1 to
continue. You will then get another page where you have to select your format:
- CSV
- DXF
- XML
- Text
In this video, I selected CSV because CSV we
can easily open in Excel and we can convert to AutoCAD through Excel LISP if
you want to download that Excel LISP then click here below to download.
10. press F4, to continue and you will get another page in
which you have to select csv format of the transferring data
Data field:
1st field pt id
2nd field easting
3rd field northing
4th field height or level
5th field code
After setting all
these fields press F4 to continue and your data will be transferred. The Total
Station will show you a completion prompt.
