MLM option in all all TOTAL STATION

MLM STANDS FOR MESSING LINE MEASUREMENTS 

This option you can find in SOKIA and TOPCON total station.

By this option you can measure hight , horizontal distance and slope distance between two or more points.

MLM Set up or back sight 

After centering and leveling of total station you have to go in the main manu and there you will find the MLM option by selecting this option you will get another page of mlm then target your reference point and click the measure option the machine will read the target location and then press MLM option so the total station will ready for work 

Now your the total station can gave three values of hight horizontal distance and slope distance from the first targeted point until you press again MLM option every point you will measure you will get these tree values 

For example 

We have 4 points with different values

A 1, A 2 , A 3 and A 4 

Shown above in the diagram 

A1 have elevation 0.00

A2 have elevation 100

A3 have elevation 150

A4 have elevation 50

By taking A 1 as MLM observation 

You will get the following values for A2 A3 and A4
