How to work on the level machine:

Ø Set a level machine from where you can see your benchmark and the area where you have to work.
Ø Keep your level machine in place which is stable for
For example: don’t set on plywood, steel plate, or surface on which your machine slides away.
Ø Marking for level must be in a range not exceeding 5 meters in height
Example: when you set your machine and you want to mark a level below 5 meters so you can’t because the length of the level staff is 5 meters
Ø Don’t disturb your level machine when you set utile finish your work at the same Height of instrument.
setting out procedure:
Open the tripod and keep auto level on the base plate of the tripod and tight the fixing screw
Level your auto level with the help of the tripod leg and then from leveling screw
Then take a reading on benchmark and note that reading is back sight reading
Add your back sight reading to benchmark elevation and that is your height of the instrument.
