Method for Layout of a Line Using the Reference Line

The Leica Builder 405 provides a precise method for performing line layouts based on a reference line. Follow these steps:

  1. Access the Prog Page:
    • Use the Page Button to navigate to the Prog menu.
    • From here, access key operations like Setup (F3) for resections, Measure (F2) for standard measurements, and App (F1) for advanced applications.
  2. Open the App Menu:
    • Select F1 (App) to open advanced functionalities.
    • Choose options like Layout, As Built, Ang & Distance, or Area & Volume.
  3. Expand Options:
    • Select More to access additional tools like Parallel Line, Hidden Point, COGO, and Layout Line, Arc, Spiral.
  4. Layout a Line:
    1. Enter the first point and second (or last) point of the reference line.
    2. Confirm by pressing OK.
    3. The machine provides directional guidance:
      • Right: Move right relative to the reference line.
      • Left: Move left relative to the reference line.
    4. If the points are reversed, the navigation directions will also reverse.
    5. For a fixed length and offset, click Layout and enter the required values.
    6. To verify measurements, use the Check option.
  5. Final Validation: Use the navigation and measurement feedback to ensure accurate alignment with the reference line.
